My husband and I are disabled and on fixed income.  After my back surgeries, we hired an aid to help us with our needs, errands and transportation.  I’m asking for help, not for me, but for my aid, Gloria.  She is a single mom with an 8 ½ year old daughter.  She has always worked hard for her money, but this time, she's so ill that she can't keep up with her bills.  She worked full time job as an aid at a retirement home and is currently working part-time for us.  She loves what she do, taking care of old people, except we’re not that old, but disabled. J  About 3 months ago, she was diagnosed with a tumor in her brain is getting treatment for that and will require to have it removed once the size of it has reduced.  Then about a week after she was diagnosed with a tumor, she was bleeding in her stomach nonstop.  It turns out that she has fibroid cysts and one is cancerous.  She’s been seeing her obgyn for them and have been taking medication, but still the bleeding hasn’t stopped.  She’s been in and out of the hospital due to bleeding and weakness.  When she was not in the hospital, she was back to work even while she was still feeling weak.  She had to, in order to keep up with her bills.  She has house, electric, gas, phone, and now hospital bills.  She has always been on time paying her bills, but not this time.  Her boss fired her while she was sick in the hospital and that’s a no, no.  Gloria filed for an unemployment which is still in the process.  She was hoping to get a big tax refund check, but turns out she owes over $1500.  Her boss had reported no taxes were taken out on Gloria’s w-2 form, but on her check stubs showed that taxes were taken out.  The IRS told her that her boss should pay her back, but Gloria doubts her boss will ever pay.  Anyway, her health is getting worse and she has no health insurance.  Her obgyn who’s been treating her for the bleeding had finally admitted that she didn’t know how to do the surgery and referred her to someone else…after 3 months.  This bleeding has been going on so long and now the dr admits that she can’t do the surgery?  She is supposed to see a different dr next week and hope someone who can do the job.  My husband and I have helped her with a month worth of bills and as much as we love and want to help her, we can’t afford to help get through another month or two months worth of bills, especially when she has her surgery.  Her daughter knows about her mom’s illness and is worried about her all the time.  She won’t even leave her mom's side and has avoided going to birthday parties and playing with her friends, just so she can be with her mom.  Gloria needs help with her bills.  She has a big heart and she’ll do anything to get by, but right now she’s so weak she can barely help us with our needs.  If you can help, that would be great.  I can forward your message to her.  Thank you very much.  DAnna
